Clay Gingerbread House Love decorating gingerbread houses? Try it with clay! Join us for a creative twist on this classic holiday activity, where you’ll cut, build, and design your own gingerbread house! Unlike traditional gingerbread, these clay creations will last year after year as a beautiful keepsake to add to your holiday decor. As a special touch, each gingerbread house will also double as a charming votive. We’ll include a battery-operated flickering tea light, so your house will glow warmly, lighting up your holiday decor with cozy ambiance. Inspirations provides a cozy, relaxed atmosphere where you can freely explore your artistic side, create memories with friends, or connect with fellow creatives. Don’t forget to grab a drink or snack from our cafe to enjoy while you create with us! What to Expect • Building Your Gingerbread House: Start with a slab of clay, and learn handbuilding techniques to cut, shape and construct your own clay gingerbread house. • Decorating with Clay: Customize your house by adding windows, doors, textures, patterns, and raised details—like 'icing' and 'candies'—for a fun and festive look. Make it as simple or detailed as you like! • 'Baking' + Painting: Once your clay house has fully dried, we’ll fire it in our kiln to transform it into bisque. This takes about 2-3 weeks. We’ll text you when it’s ready to come in for painting, you can paint in our studio or even purchase glaze to paint at home! After it's been painted to your liking, we will fire it once more into finished ceramic. • Cafe: Our cafe serves handcrafted espresso, italian sodas, hot cocoa, Union Hill Ciders (21+), cheese and crackers and more. We also offer 8 rotating ice cream flavors, scooped into hand-painted ceramic bowls or blended into milkshakes. Pricing Details • Ticket price: $65 Includes seat reservation, use of all tools, clay, two kiln firings, painting materials for your second visit at a time convenient for you, and guidance from our knowledgeable Inspirations team. Important Info • Welcoming ages 8+ and all skill levels. • Dress comfortably—we recommend wearing clothes that can get a bit messy! Aprons are provided. • We will fire your clay in our kiln and text you when ready for painting (2-3 weeks). After painting we will fire your creation one more time in our kiln and text you when it's ready to pick-up (roughly 7 days) • Walk-ins are not available for this event, so please reserve your spot in advance.
